The city of Kent is looking for volunteers for two work parties at city parks.
The city needs help pulling weeds, clearing trails, planting trees or bushes and other chores from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday April 17 and April 24.
Volunteers can gather April 17 to help celebrate Earth Day at Mill Creek Earthworks Park, 742 E. Titus St. Crews can show up April 24 to celebrate Arbor Day at West Fenwick Park, 3824 Reith Road. The city will provide gloves and tools.
Registration is required at least three days before the event in order to keep the events to a manageable number of volunteers.
