Mayor Suzette Cooke with members of the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Tacoma Stars’ first completed regular season on their home field at the ShoWare Center last Friday with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a soccer match featuring stars from the business community.
Lining up on opposite sides of the field was the Chamber of Commerce team, featuring players from the chamber, against the Kent Downtown Partnership team.
Kickoff began before the Stars took the field. The Chamber vs. Partnership game was two 15-minute periods.
