The American Cancer Society and construction industry present Construction vs Cancer of Washington, a family festival, on Sunday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cedar Mountain Reclamation Facility, 17877 Cedar Grove Rd SE, Maple Valley.
The fundraising event provides a festive, fair-like atmosphere for young cancer survivors and their families, sponsors and ticket holders. Children will get the opportunity to play on big rig equipment and try other activities. There will be a trampoline, food trucks, music, mystery guests and more. Each child receives a plastic hard hat and treats/swag.
More than 1,000 little and big construction enthusiasts are expected to attend the event, a benefit for the American Cancer Society in the mission to eliminate the disease.
