Update: Crews postpone plan to close SE 248th Street eastbound lane in Kent

Update: City officials announced late Friday afternoon the planned work along SE 248th Street has been postponed until further notice.

The city of Kent has postponed the planned closure of the eastbound lane of Southeast 248th from 104th Avenue Southeast to 109th Avenue Southeast on the East Hill. The work had been scheduled for Oct. 15-19. No reason was given for the postponement.

Crews will close the lane for sewer main installation associated with the new YMCA under construction. Traffic control will be in place.
