Des Moines Police are looking for two men in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred west of Kent.
Officers responded at about 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29 to a house in the 1300 block of South 251st Street to a report of a shooting, according to a Des Moines Police media release.
When officers arrived they discovered two armed men had force their way into a private residence demanding money from the man and woman inside the home.
The male occupant got into a scuffle with one of the armed men and was shot in the abdomen area and pistol whipped. The two armed then fled the residence.
Paramedics transported the shot man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with non-life threatening injuries. The woman was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation.
Police used a K-9 unit to search for the men but did not find them.
One of the men is described as white, in his late 20s with a shaved head or close-cut hair with a red scruffy and unshaven face. Police did not have a description of the second man.
