For the Reporter
South County Cats’ eighth annual CAToberfest – A Celebration of Cats! – is Saturday, Oct. 17, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Maple Valley Community Center, 22010 SE 248th St.
CAToberfest thanks volunteers, donors, foster parents and supporters who make the Maple Valley-based, nonprofit organization a success. Participants enjoy food, facts, festivities, raffles and the market place.
Admission is free. A donation of canned cat food is appreciated.
Speakers and guests include Will Braden, of Le Chat Noir, Canopy Cat Rescue; Dr. Bridget Ferguson from Pine Tree Veterinary Hospital; and friends Oskar and Klaus.
Missing Pet Partnership will have a table with examples of lost pet signs. Participants can tour Pasado’s Safe Haven’s Spay Station, a state-of-the-art mobile spay/neuter clinic on wheels.
All proceeds benefit spay/neuter programs:
• Companion cat spay/neuter program for income-qualified South King County residents at Pasado’s Spay Station and participating veterinary and spay/neuter clinics.
• Trap-neuter-return of community cats.
• Spay/neuter of foster cats and kittens prior to adoption.
