Fallen tree on SR 18 | King County traffic update

As of Monday morning, June 28, Washington State Department of Transportation reported the following road obstructions:

5:17 a.m.: A collision blocking the ramp of Highway 18 eastbound at I-5 southbound in Federal Way has been cleared.

8:09 a.m.: Both southbound lanes on SR 527 at 196th St SE are now clear. Both northbound lanes remain blocked.

8:39 a.m.: A tree was still blocking the right lane pn State Route 18 westbound just east of Tiger Mountain Road.

8:45 a.m.: On SR 18 westbound just east of Tiger Mountain Road, fallen trees were blocking the right lane.

9:11 a.m.: The left northbound lane on SR 527 at 196th Street SE was cleared of an earlier collision, the right lane is still blocked.

11:46 a.m. A disabled vehicle that was blocked the two right lanes of southbound I-405 at Northeaast 8th Street in Bellevue shortly after 11 a.m. was cleared 45 minutes later, opening all lanes to traffic.

As of Monday morning, June 28, the King County Road Services Division reported the following road closure updates:

Closed

•Snoqualmie: Southeast Reinig Road from Southeast 81st Street to 428th Avenue Southeast. Repairs to the Reinig Road Revetment began in mid June and will last through Oct. 12, 2021. The westbound lane will reopen by Sept. 6, 2021. The closure area will be limited to Southeast 81st Street to 428th Avenue Southeast. Local access for emergency vehicles and residents living along this stretch of road will be provided.

Bridge replacement under roadway: South 277th Street between 55th Avenue S & West Valley Highway North

From July 12 through November 2021, South 277th Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction 24 hours a day to replace the 70-year-old bridge over Mullen Slough. Work will take place Monday through Friday, but the lane reduction will be in effect at all times.

•Skyway

A section of 56th Place South will be closed for construction of drainage improvement starting at 7 a.m., July 12, but access to homes will be maintained.

•Duvall

Northeast Stillwater Hill Rd/Kelly Road Northeast from State Route 203 to Northeast Big Rock Road will be closed from 7 a.m to as late as 7 p.m., Monday to Friday starting July 12. Road will reopen to traffic on weekends; 7 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday. Detour provided and limited local access allowed when road is closed.

Restricted

• Kent

South 277th Street between 55th Avenue South and West Valley Highway North. Lanes will be shifted to one lane in each direction during PSE gas line relocation work. Work will take place Monday June 1 through Thursday, July 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. An alternate route is recommended
