A farmer along Frager Road South in Kent irrigates crops last week. Decades ago, the Kent Valley along the Green River was full of farms. That began to change in the 1960s and Kent became a manufacturing center. But a few farms remain in town, including a couple along Frager Road, just south of State Route 516, aka Kent Des Moines Road.
