Fifteen teachers from the Kent School District have been certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards for 2013. Being a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) is one of the highest honors an educator can achieve.
“On behalf of the KSD Board of Directors and the KSD staff, I congratulate these teachers for this outstanding achievement,” said Superintendent Edward Lee Vargas. “These teachers are examples of the dedication and commitment KSD staff has toward providing a quality education for each and every one of our students.”
KSD will honor these teachers at the Feb. 13 board meeting at the district office,12033 SE 256th St. A reception starts at 6:30 p.m. and recognition by the board of directors is at 7 p.m.
