Firefighters extinguish Kent house fire in about two hours

Fire broke out Friday morning, Feb. 2 in the 100 block of Naden Avenue South

It took firefighters about two hours to extinguish a Kent house fire early Friday morning, Feb. 2 in the 100 block of Naden Avenue South.

Firefighters responded at about 6:17 a.m. to the fully involved fire at West Meeker Street and Naden Avenue South, according to an email from Puget Sound Fire spokesperson Pat Pawlak. No one was home at the time of the fire.

Ten fire department units responded, Pawlak said. King County Medic One, Kent Police and the Zone 3 Fire Cadets also responded.

Nobody was injured. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Pawlak said.
