Kent firefighters extinguished a house fire Wednesday afternoon in the 13000 block of Southeast 282nd Way that displaced three adults ad two dogs.
The fire was reported at 2:55 p.m. Multiple Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority units and King County Medic One responded to the call. One man from the home was taken to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation, according to a Kent Fire Department media release.
When firefighters arrived, they saw little smoke coming from the two-story home but soon found flames in the upper level of the home. Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the fire quickly though smoke damage was evident throughout the house.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
