Expect plenty of music, games and fireworks at the city of Kent’s annual Fourth of July Splash at Lake Meridian Park.

Greg Bennick, who has introduced many to the art of juggling, will emcee the event that runs from noon to 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4 at the park, 14800 S.E. 272nd St. The day ends with fireworks at 10 p.m. The event is presented by the Lake Meridian Community Association and Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Services.

Attendees will be treated to a continuous day of stage entertainment starting at 12:15 p.m. where local performers will show their talents in front of the hometown crowd.

Children can enjoy from noon to 5 p.m. bouncey houses; T-Bird Puck and Shoot; Republic Services recycling activity; food booths; old fashioned games; pie eating contest and more.

The food vendors include Caveman Eats, specialty sausage, tacos, gumbo; Sturgis Sweets of Mukilteo, kettle corn; KC Deez BBQ, beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken sliders, wings; Pull My Ear Concessions, food you find at the fair; Mocha Motion, coffee, smoothies and more; Galaxy Doughnuts.

Parking is limited at the park to permits only on July 4. Only valid disabled parking plaques and permits issued by the Fourth of July Splash will be allowed.

A passenger load and unload area is available at Lake Meridian Park. Police will direct you to the location. One person must stay with the vehicle at all times. Load and unload parking is 15 minutes only. Vehicles left unattended or not actively loaded or unloaded will be towed.

Shuttle buses will run approximately every 20 minutes from park and ride lots at Kent Fire Station 75, 15635 SE 272nd St.; Kentwood High School, 25800 164th Ave, SE, Covington; and Meridian Elementary, 25621 140th Ave. SE.

• 12-12:45 p.m.: Spotlight Dance and Performing Arts Center

• 1-1:30 p.m.: Greg Bennick, juggler

• 1:45-2:30 p.m.: Color IX, teen band

• 2:45-3:30 p.m.: Pie Eating Contest

• 3:45-4:30 p.m.: Abigail Neilson, teen singer

• 4:45-5:30 p.m.: Root 5, Americana band

• 6-7:30 p.m.: Nick Drummond/The Senate, rock band

• 8-9:30 p.m.: Shaggy Sweet, blues and rock band
