Free summer meals available across Kent for children, teens

Get meals at certain schools, apartments, parks and youth centers

Free nutritious meals are available to all children and teens ages 18 and younger at select schools, apartment complexes and community centers this summer across the Kent School District.

Visit participating locations from June 27 through Aug. 11 (no meals served on July 3-4). Meals must be consumed on-site, and are no longer available to take home.

The Summer Food Service Program is a Child Nutrition Program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In Washington state, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) Child Nutrition Services administers the program.

The Summer Food Service Program provides reimbursement for nutritious meals served to children in lower income areas at no cost when school is out. Meals must be served in low-income communities where at least 50% of children are eligible for free and reduced-price school meals or in other locations where at least 50% of the children enrolled in a specific program are eligible for free and reduced-price school meals.
