The event begins Wednesday with a “community blitz” at the ShoWare Center 5:30 -7:30 p.m. Mayor Suzette Cooke will be on hand on with city employees and other community members. There will be T-shirts and refreshments at a short meet-and-greet before teams of two will spread out around the city to pass out free light bulbs and spread the word about the exchange event taking place 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3-4 at Kent Lowe’s, 24050 Pacific Hwy. The exchange event offers all PSE customers the opportunity to trade up to 10 old-fashioned, incandescent light bulbs for an equal number of energy-saving bulbs.
