The Vancouver Giants scored three power-play goals Sunday afternoon on their way to a 4-1 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds at the Pacific Coliseum.

The T-Birds remain in seventh place in the Western Conference playoff standings with 50 points. They are one point ahead the eighth-place Everett Silvertips and six points ahead of the ninth-place Prince George Cougars. The top eight teams in the conference qualify for post-season play. All three teams have 10 games remaining this season.

The T-Birds host the Cougars on Friday and the Silvertips on Saturday.

Seattle’s next game is 7:05 p.m. Tuesday against the Edmonton Oil Kings at the ShoWare Center.

Seattle (21-33-7-1) cut the Giants lead to one goal at 17:32 of the second with a five-on-three power-play goal. Jerret Smith sent the puck from the right point to Shea Theodore at the left point. Theodore made a diagonal pass to Alexander Delnov parked to the right of the goal. Delnov buried the puck into an empty net as Vancouver goalie Payton Lee lunged to get over and try and make the save.
