A 12-year-old girl was killed after she was pinned between two vehicles late Saturday afternoon, Oct. 3 while walking in the 10800 block of Southeast 208th Street in the Panther Lake area of Kent.
Miranda Bhattacharyya died of multiple blunt force injuries in the accident, according to a Monday report by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Officers were dispatched at about 4:50 p.m. Saturday to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision, according to Kent Police. Officers arrived and found Bhattacharyya pinned between two vehicles. Puget Sound Fire and medics also were dispatched. Life-saving efforts at the scene were unsuccessful.
One of the drivers may have been experiencing a medical emergency, according to police. It did not appear that drugs or alcohol was involved. Kent Police did not provide any other information about the drivers.
