Sharonne Navas of Kent has been appointed to the five-member Green River College Board of Trustees by Gov. Jay Inslee.

In 2010, she was appointed as Commissioner for the Washington State Commission on Hispanic Affairs.

“I am honored and humbled to be appointed to the Board of Trustees of Green River College,” Navas said in press release from the college. “I’m excited to bring an equity lens to such an important community institution.
