Green River College will unveil a new degree at its Kent campus open house from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2.
The new associate in arts degree will allow students to complete a full two-year degree at the Kent Campus, 417 Ramsay Way, Suite 112.
“This is a great opportunity for students in the Kent area to get their entire degree locally,” Byron Ford, director for instructional support and operations for the Kent campus, said in a media release. “We’re excited to offer a greater variety of classes for students interested in transferring to a university or completing high school credits.”
Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke, Green River’s Interim President Scott Morgan, Interim Vice President of Instruction Rebecca Williamson, Vice President of Student Affairs Deb Casey, as well as Kent campus faculty and staff will attend the open house.
The event is free and open to the public and includes campus tours, a student panel, light refreshments, one-on-one advising and financial aid and Running Start information sessions.
Parking is free at Kent Station and the Sound Transit parking garage, 301 Railroad Ave N.
