A section of the popular Green River Trail will be closed in Kent between James Street and Russell Road for two to three weeks between July 13 and Aug. 3, due to levee work along the river by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Crews will set up a detour for trail users as well as golfers heading to the 11th and 16th holes at the nearby Riverbend Golf Course.
Consair Construction, the contractor, plans to work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the levee restoration project. The company will open the trail temporarily when workers are not on site.
