Kent Police are still trying to sort out what appears to be a gang-related shooting on Sunday afternoon in the 25600 block of 29th Avenue South on the West Hill.
Nobody appears to have been hit or injured during the gunfire exchange, said Kent Police spokeswoman Melanie Robinson in a Monday email.
Officers responded to a shooting at about 4:39 p.m. outside of a residence, just south of the Fred Meyer store. A man on foot, standing outside his home, exchanged gunfire with four people in a SUV. Police pursued the SUV which came to a stop at a dead end road at an undisclosed address. The four inside the vehicle fled on foot.
Officers caught two of the four suspects and arrested an 18-year Kent man and 15-year-old Tukwila boy on undisclosed offenses.
“With the limited information thus far, it appears to be gang related,” Robinson said. “Investigators are still trying to sort all of the details out.”
Police detained the man on foot and he is cooperating with investigators, Robinson said.
