Anyone can sign up for a new, free e-mail service through the city of Kent.
Whether it’s city news or traffic advisories, the subscription service allows residents and businesses to sign up for topics of interest and receive e-mail alerts.
The service also allows for instant notification in emergency situations.
The new service offers personalized e-mail and text-message updates from the city.
Subscribe to e-alerts through the city’s Web site at www.choosekent.com. Click on “e-alerts,” enter an e-mail address and select the city services you want to hear more about.
