For the Reporter

Three people, all adults, were forced out of their home following a house fire in the 27000 block of 35 Place South early Monday morning, the Kent Regional Fire Authority reported.

According to witnesses who called 911 shortly after midnight, the fire appeared to have started on the exterior of the house, next to the garage. When firefighters arrived, they found one entire side of the house on fire with flames extending into the attic space through the bird-blocking.

By attacking the fire aggressively, firefighters were able to protect the living space of the home and limit the fire damage.

All three people were able to get out safely. There were no reports of injuries.

An investigator has ruled the fire as “undetermined,” due to the fact that there was insufficient evidence to determine an exact cause.

In addition to firefighters from the Kent RFA, South King Fire and Rescue, King County Medic One, and the Zone 3 Fire Explorers responded.
