Two lanes on I-5 South near Federal Way will be closed overnight Sept. 9 and 10 as crews work on the Sound Transit Federal Way Link Extension.
The closures will take place from South 272 Street to South 288 Street Wednesday, Sept. 9 and Thursday, Sept. 10 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. as crews will set concrete barriers and build an access road for future light rail construction.
Exit 147 on-ramp will also be closed.
All project construction work is done under stringent COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.
The Federal Way Link Extension is set to open for service in 2024. For more information on the Federal Way Link Extension and to sign up for project updates, visit soundtransit.org/fwlink.
