An ice storm batter Kent and the Puget Sound region Thursday snarling traffic and knocking out power to many residents.
The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory predicting freezing rain, sleet and snow with warmer weather moving in Thursday night.
The weather service predicts temperatures to remain above freezing Friday with rain continuing.
The Thursday ice storm closed many roads, including part of West Valley Highway in Kent.
Two warming shelters were opened in Kent for those without power.
