A 58-year-old Idaho man suffered injuries in a three-vehicle accident at about 10:21 p.m. Saturday, June 11 in Kent along southbound Interstate 5, just south of State Route 516, also known as Kent-Des Moines Road.

The Idaho man was driving a rental truck and while attempting to stop on the right shoulder failed to see a disabled vehicle, according to a Washington State Patrol media release. The driver swerved to the right and struck a second vehicle, he then corrected to the left, crossed all southbound lanes, went over the concrete jersey barrier and rolled onto its side.

A third vehicle struck debris in the roadway from the collision.

Paramedics transported the truck driver to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with undisclosed injuries.

No one else was injured in the accident. Drugs or alcohol were not involved in the accident, according to the State Patrol.
