For the Reporter
Parents and children are welcome to participate in free workshops on leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution and effective listening in August.
The workshops will run from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 3, 10, 17 and 24 at Kent Commons, 525 Fourth Ave. N.
The workshops are part of the Kent Black Action Commission (KBAC) Education, Leadership and Advocacy Project.
The purpose of the project is to provide a public forum for parents and students to discuss the importance of education and to conduct workshops in key areas. The workshops are designed to help parents and students become more effective leaders and advocates for the student’s education.
Phase 3 is open to all parents and students, even if they missed phases 1 and 2 of the project.
For more details and for any questions, please contact, Richard Johnson, lead facilitator for the project, at 253-631-7944 or email at ajrj01@msn.com.
