Voters can hear from candidates for mayor and the City Council at a Kent Candidate Forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Sunrise Elementary School, 22300 132nd Ave. S.E.
A group of Panther Lake residents are sponsoring the forum. Panther Lake’s 24,000 residents became part of the city of Kent in 2010 through annexation. The Nov. 5 ballot marks the first election for both the mayor and council positions since the annexation.
Those scheduled to appear include mayoral candidates Suzette Cooke and Tim Clark; City Council Position No. 2 candidates Jim Berrios and Wade Schwartz; and City Council Position No. 6 candidates Bailey Stober and Ken Sharp.
