The Kent Chamber of Commerce will host a reception to welcome new Kent School District Superintendent Calvin Watts to the community.
The reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Golden Steer Steak n’ Rib House, 23826 104th Ave. SE in Kent.
Watts took over as superintendent of the district on June 15. Previously, he served as an assistant superintendent for Gwinnett County Public Schools in Suwanee, Ga.
