The Kent Chamber of Commerce hosts Mayor Suzette Cooke’s annual State of the City address and luncheon on Wednesday, March 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.

The event is open to the public.

“The State of the City is a great chance for all to hear a review of the major accomplishments from last year, and to also get a sneak preview of what’s ahead for this year,” Cooke said. “We made great strides in 2015, and I’m eager to build on those successes.”

“The Kent Chamber of Commerce is proud to host Mayor Cooke’s State of the City Address,” said Andrea Keikkala, CEO of the Kent Chamber. “This popular event is a great opportunity for the community to come together to hear not only what we’ve achieved, but to also learn how we can collaborate and keep moving Kent forward.”

The event cost is $30 per person, which includes lunch. Cost for chamber members is $20 if prepaid, $25 at the door. There is no charge for attendees who wish to attend but forgo the lunch. All are required to register either at KentChamber.com or by calling 253-854-1770.
