The Kent City Council and Kent School District Board will have a special joint meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, at the Centennial Center conference rooms 105 and 107, 400 W. Gowe St.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss mutual support and cooperation between the city and the district, including:
• A new elementary school in the Valley
• Marijuana challenges in schools
• Strategic plan alignment
• School parking challenges
• Immigration issues
Public testimony will not be allowed unless approved by the council and school board during the meeting.
