Alums will visit KM for class reunions

Members of the Kent-Meridian High School classes of 1958, 1968 and 1978 will tour the Kent-Meridian campus in September as part of their class reunions.

They will see trophies earned during their senior year, class yearbooks, uniforms from their generations and music from their decade. They can bring their children and grandchildren to show off their old high school. The Kent-Meridian hip-hop dance group will perform for each group, and refreshments will be served.

School tours will be at the following times:

5:30-7 p.m. Sept. 13 — Class of 1968

4:30-6 p.m. Sept. 19 — Class of 1958

5:30-7 p.m. Sept. 26 — Class of 1978

Welcome event for T-birds set for Aug. 20

Kent residents can welcome the Seattle Thunderbirds Hockey Club during an event 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 20 at Kherson Park, at the corner of Second Avenue South and West Gowe Street. Kent Old Timers Reunion coming up
