The Kent Community Foundation recently awarded $4,500 in grants to local organizations.
The 2015 recipients are:
• The City of Kent, $500 for Kent Kids’ Art Day in March 2016
• Martin Sortun Elementary, $1,000 for Bringing Learning to Life with Robotics project
• Kentridge Robotics, $1,000 for Club STEM Club, a program for elementary students, and First Responders
• Coalition for Refugees from Burma, $1,000 for Youth Voices, a three-week leadership training for immigrant students from the Kent School District
• Kentridge High School, $1,000 for Girls Designing STEAM Toys
