The Kent Cornucopia Days Grand Parade on July 14 is accepting nominations for this year’s grand marshals.
A grand marshal may possess a variety of characteristics. Nominees are heroic or inspiring, acquired a significant accomplishment/award, or have made a positive impact on the community. Marshals may be nationally, regionally or locally recognized.
Marshals will be chosen by the Kent Cornucopia Days Committee. If selected, marshals will be provided transportation to be showcased in the Grand Parade, which will broadcast live on Channel 21. Grand marshals also will be invited to a honorary Seafair reception with other royalty.
Nominations should be sent by email to kentlions@gmail.com and include a brief biography describing who the nominee is and why they deserve the title of grand marshal.
