A Kent supermarket sold one of the three winning tickets to Sunday’s Washington Lottery Hit 5 Cash jackpot of $180,000, state officials say.
The winning ticket, worth $60,000, was purchased at the Safeway store at 1301 S.E. Kent Kangley Rd.
The other two Hit 5 Cash winning tickets were sold in Yakima and Lakewood.
The triple-ticket win was part of what lottery officials are calling “an amazing night” in which winning numbers were drawn for three top prizes totaling more than $7 million.
Along with the Hit 5 Cash pot, lottery officials report drawing a single winning ticket in the $6.8 million Lotto jackpot (sold in West Seattle) and five winning tickets for the Match 4 prize of $10,000.
According to a press release, drawing so many top tier prizes in a single night is “fairly unusual.”
