The city of Kent Human Services Commission has announced the release of the 2015/2016 Request for Proposals for human services.
As a member of the Human Service Funders Collaborative, Kent is a participant in a joint application process with 15 other King County cities.
Starting March 19, human services providers will be able to submit one application to any of the 16 cities online at Share1app.culturegrants.org, a complete grant management website that allows for common reporting, contract management and data collection.
“Cities participating in the Human Service Funders Collaborative have found the Share1app provides a more efficient and cost effective way to manage numerous human services contracts,” said Katherin Johnson, Kent’s Housing and Human Services manager. “The joint application process provides agencies with an efficient method of applying for funds through a single portal.”
Kent’s Human Services Commission will review applications during May and June and present funding recommendations to Mayor Suzette Cooke in early July.
Commissioners consider community needs, how the program meets the funding priorities set in Building a Health Community: City of Kent Human Services Master Plan and efficient, effective use of Kent funds.
