A 60-year-old Kent man killed in an April 14 head-on collision along the West Valley Highway has been identified as David Wayne Burns.
Burns died from multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Burns was driving northbound on the West Valley Highway when he reportedly crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle traveling southbound, according to an email from Kent Police Assistant Chief Jarod Kasner. Speed and weather may have been contributing factors to the collision.
The crash occurred at about 5:52 a.m. in the 18300 block of West Valley Highway in Kent, just south of South 180th Street.
Paramedics transported a 50-year-old Auburn man, who was driving the southbound vehicle, to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Kasner said.
A semi driver also involved in the collision was not injured. The truck suffered minor damage.
There were no passengers in any of the vehicles.
