A 64-year-old Kent man remained in satisfactory condition on Monday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after he suffered injuries in a single-car crash on Saturday along Interstate 90 near Easton.
Yamba H. Zuongrana was driving eastbound at about 5:13 a.m. on I-90 about 8 miles west of Easton when he reportedly fell asleep, left the roadway to the right and came to rest against a tree, according to a Washington State Patrol accident report.
He was alone in the 2001 Ford Escape and wore a seat belt. Drugs or alcohol were not involved, according to the State Patrol. Troopers are investigating a possible charge against Zuongrana for driver inattention.
Paramedics transported Zuongrana by ambulance to Harborview Medical Center. He was in satisfactory condition, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
