Kent massage student honored Ronda Knebel of Kent has been honored with an academic achievement award from Massage Envy Spa Washington for her accomplishments as a massage student at Cortiva Institute – Federal Way.
The award was based on Knebel’s scholastic accomplishments, attendance and quality of her essay on the value of massage in a person’s overall wellness program.
The award came as a pleasant surprise to Knebel, who recently graduated from the college’s massage program.
Massage Envy Spas of Washington are dedicated to supporting the massage therapy community and, in particular, the education of individuals interested in massage therapy.
The scholarship fund was established to help such students with costs associated with school and enable them to better pursue their chosen career as massage practitioners.
To date, the 26 local Washington Massage Envy Spa clinics have donated more than $80,000 to scholarships for students such as Knebel.
