Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke will give her final State of the City address at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5 at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.
Cooke will speak about the city’s obstacles and accomplishments over the last 12 years and touch on future goals, according to a city media release.
Cooke decided last year not to seek a fourth four-year term. Her term ends Dec. 31.
Tickets are $30, which includes lunch or $5 for those who want to attend but not eat. The cost is $20 for prepaid Kent Chamber of Commerce members. Register by calling the chamber at 253-854-1770 or go to kentchamber.com.
The mayor’s address also will air live on Comcast Channel 21 and at KentTV21.com.
