A Kent-Meridian High School alumni choir as well as the current high school choir will perform a concert at 7 p.m. April 17 at the school’s Performing Arts Center, 10020 S.E. 256th St.
Forty-five former choir members have signed up to participate in the alumni choir event, some from as far back as the class of 1951 and some from as far away as New York.
Bob Owren, a former Kent-Meridian choir director, will lead the alumni choir.
Concertgoers will hear the alumni choir sing first followed by the current high school choir, directed by Heath Thompson. The two choirs will then sing together.
The high school cafeteria will open at 6 p.m. for anyone who would like to reconnect with former classmates.
Tickets go on sale at 6 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10 per person for $25 per family. Proceeds go to the Kent-Meridian scholarship fund.
