The fourth annual Kent Middle School Science Fair runs from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Kent-Meridian High School.
There are 165 projects entered and 300 students participating in the event. The fair is open to all middle school students participating as individuals or teams.
There will be two rounds of judging in the morning as well as an engineering design competition and a physics magic show. Judges from the science community will review the entries.
A special engineering competition will take place after the science fair competition. Participants will complete a “straw structure” task on site within a given time frame.
