Kent Emergency Management is accepting applications for the fall Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program.
CERT is an eight-week class that helps residents and local businesses prepare for a disaster with classroom and hands-on training in fire safety,
terrorism, search and rescue, disaster medical, organization and disaster psychology.
Students can attend one of two sessions held each week beginning Sept. 25. Class times are 1-4:30 p.m. and 6-9:30 p.m. All classes are at local fire stations.
