The Kent Police Department is asking the public’s help in locating a vulnerable, 64-year-old mentally delayed woman, Barbara Stevenson.

Stevenson was last seen Tuesday, Feb. 3, and has not been seen or heard from since, police said.

She has medical conditions that includes a heart defect and diabetes. Stevenson also has been diagnosed with bi-polar disorder and needs daily medication.

It was reported that Stevenson is often delusional, and more concerning is the fact that Stevenson did not take her medication or any personal items with her, police said.

Stevenson is a black woman with a light complexion. She stands 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She generally walks with a cane.

Stevenson’s family is afraid that due to her mental state she could easily be manipulated and taken advantage of.

Kent Police Detectives are working with limited information.

“We are understandably concerned for Stevenson and so is her family. This is out of the ordinary for her, and with her mental instability it makes her that much more vulnerable,” said Kent Det. Melanie Robinson.

Kent Police ask that anyone seeing or anyone who may know the whereabouts of Stevenson call 911 immediately.
