Kent Police investigate shooting along 104th Avenue SE

Person shot, injured in vehicle Monday evening, June 12 on East Hill

Kent Police are investigating a shooting along 104th Avenue SE on the East Hill that injured a person seated in a vehicle.

Officers responded at about 5:39 p.m. Monday, June 12 to the 23600 block of 104th Avenue SE in response to a 911 call of a shooting, according to a June 12 Kent Police statement.

Officers found a person who had been shot while seated in a vehicle. The person received medical treatment at the scene before paramedics transported them to a local hospital. Police did not release the gender, age or hometown of the person shot.

As of early afternoon Tuesday, June 13, no arrests had been made.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the KPD tipline at 253-856-5808 or email KPDTipLine@kentwa.gov. If you have suspect information or a time sensitive tip, please call 911 and ask to speak to an officer.

Police closed 104th Avenue SE between SE 235th and 240th streets as well as SE 240th Street from 1o4th to 108th Avenue SE during the investigation.
