Kent Police traffic investigators responded on Thursday to a collision between a car and a semi-truck in the 24800 block of Pacific Highway South.
The incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on the busy thoroughfare on Kent’s West Hill, according to a police media release.
Traffic investigators, Regional Fire Authority, state Department of Transportation, and the Washington State Patrol cleaned up the collision scene and conducted an environmental cleanup of fluids that leaked from both vehicles involved.
Partial lane closures were set up in the northbound direction and complete southbound lane closures were put in place because of the cleanup. The lane closures were between South 240th Street and South 252nd Street.
There were no injuries. Lanes were restricted throughout the evening commute.
