A Kent woman was seriously injured in a two-car crash late Saturday afternoon.
Kent Police Officers and Kent Fire personnel removed a 61-year-old woman from one of the badly damaged vehicles at the collision site, at 104th Avenue Southeast/Southeast 244 Street. The accident occurred at 5:17 p m.
She was taken to Harbor View Medical Center with possible life-threatening injuries. The other driver, a Kent resident in his early 20s, was not injured, officials said.
The preliminary investigation shows that the woman was driving eastbound on Southeast 244th Street and had entered the intersection, where she was struck by the other vehicle that was headed southbound on 104th Avenue Southeast.
It does not appear that impaired driving was a factor in this collision, police said.
Traffic investigators from the Kent Police Department are investigating the collision.
