Anyone interested in starting up a Neighborhood Block Watch program can attend a Block Watch 101 class offered by the Kent Police.
The class runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 22 at the Kent City Council Chambers, 220 Fourth Ave. S.
The class is for anyone interested in learning about the benefits of Neighborhood Block Watch and the steps involved in forming a new Block Watch or reviving an old one.
Neighborhood Response Team officers will provide crime statistics and trends and public education specialists will offer crime prevention strategies and tips.
