The Kent Police Department is asking the public for their assistance to help locate a missing 14-year-old Kent boy.
Trajan C. McCallister was last seen Monday afternoon at Kent’s East Hill skate park, according to a Kent Police media release. The park, at 116th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 240th Street, is a popular meeting place for youth from the area.
McCallister is black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has brown eyes and short cropped brown hair. McCallister is confined to a white wheelchair with a black seat. When last seen the teen was wearing a red “Jordan” sweatshirt and black jeans.
He has an earring in each ear, and also wears dental braces. His family notes that he is dependent on his medication and that in the absence of those medications, his health is at risk.
Kent Police spent Tuesday morning searching the area around the family home, which is located near the park. Officers have also been checking in the Covington area, where McCallister is known to have friends.
The Covington Police Department is also assisting in the effort to locate the youth.
“We are very concerned for Trajan’s health situation,” said Kent Assistant Police Chief Pat Lowery. “His inability to access his medications may impair his physical condition quickly.”
Kent Police ask that anyone seeing Trajan McCallister to call 911 immediately.
