Kent Police are asking the public to help find a man allegedly connected with the death of a 45-year-old Kent woman found Tuesday at her East Hill apartment.

Officers found the body of Bonnie K. Peterson inside her Village at Lake Meridan apartment, 25811 110th Ave. S.E., after a call from a concerned friend.

Detectives have identified Shawn David Gulseth as a suspect in the death. Gulseth had a former romantic relationship with Peterson, according to a Kent Police media release.

Detectives are still reviewing the details of the crime. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet released a cause of death.

Police are cautioning the public to not try to interfere with Gulseth.

“This is a crime of violence committed by a very dangerous person,” said Kent Police Lt. Pat Lowery.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Gulseth or sees him should call 911 immediately. Persons with information that may lead to his capture should call the Kent Police at 253-856-5808.

Gulseth is described as a 40-year-old white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 185 pounds. He has brown hair pulled back with a pony tail and has extensive tattoos from his neck to his arms.

Peterson lived alone at the apartment. She was a grandmother and had two grown daughters.

Police found the apartment in disarray and said there were signs of a struggle. Police also figured Peterson knew the person who entered the apartment and that it was not a random incident.
