For the Reporter
Kent Police detectives are hoping that the public can help identify two men wanted for the robbery of an East Hill U.S. Bank branch in the 10200 block of Southeast 240th Street in Kent.
Two subjects entered the bank just after 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 20. The bank teller reported that two white males approached her teller window. She said one of the men handed her a handwritten note, indicating that this was a robbery. The same man then lifted up the front of his jacket, at which time the teller observed a black pistol tucked in his waistband. The bank teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash, whereupon both suspects then fled from the bank on foot.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
Both were caught on the bank surveillance. Subject No. 1 is described as a tall white man with a thin build, 30 to 35 years of age, approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall, 180 pounds. Subject No. 2 is described as white male adult, 28 to 35 years of age, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, 180 pounds.
“With clear surveillance images like these there is great potential of getting these guys identified,” said detective Gerald Gee.
Anyone with information regarding this incident or any similar case are urged to call 911 or the Kent Police Department tip line at 253-856-5808.
